I had several goals at the beginning of 2010 — knit exclusively from stash until I ran out of stash, knit 12 sweaters (for an average of one per month), and knit more for myself. I came close to meeting all of these goals. My projects for 2010 included 13 sweaters:
- Huron
- St. Mortiz
- February Lady Sweater
- Joseph’s Owls
- Ethan’s Owls
- Lily’s Owls
- Eilzabeth’s Owls
- Lydia’s Owls
- Thomas’s Owls
- Jesse’s Owls
- Red Baby Surprise Jacket
- Netherlands Sampler Pullover
- Stilwell (still needs to be steeked, but basically done).
11 Hats:
- NAGCR Hat
- Laurel
- Riley Hat for Miriam
- Fiona’s Hat
- Swap Hat
- Zev’s Hat
- Clara’s Hat
- ThreeHats for Jesse
- Fenced In
3 Scarves (all commissions of ringing patterns):
2 Pairs of Socks (both commissions):
Additionally, I made a blanket (Girasole) and a Christmas stocking (Jesse’s Stocking).
Only one of these projects (Huron) was started before January 1, 2010. I have two projects still on the needles (Hey, Admin! and Tweed Baby Blanket) as we head into 2011. I only bought yarn for the owl sweaters. I’m looking forward to continuing my yarn diet in the coming year. I have a couple of sweaters lined up to make (for me!) and several pairs of socks as well. The socks will be nice because they’ll fit much better in the diaper bag.
